We understand that the decoration isn't the only factor you consider when choosing your wedding cake. The taste and quality of the cake itself is equally important because after all, you are going to be eating it! That's why all of our cakes are fresh, moist and taste absolutely delicious.

So take a look at what type of cake you can choose from and remember your tiers can be mixed flavours - just ask our advice on what's best.

Rich Fruit Cake

This is the most traditional type of wedding cake incorporating mixed fruit and nuts and is at its best quality and taste having matured for months after being baked. Providing the cake is perfectly sealed with the marzipan and icing, it can be kept for many years. It can however be an acquired taste and a fair amount of people tend to dislike its heavy, dark and rich flavour. Although, we have are always satisfied by the amount of customers who change their mind after tasting ours. It is possible to alter the recipe leaving out nuts or cherries etc to suit your taste.

Madeira Sponge Cake

Becoming a standard choice for wedding cakes, this is generally liked by all because of its light flavour and because it is so moist. It can be filled with butter-style icing, jam or both and we can even add a subtle flavouring of your choice such as lemon or vanilla amongst others.
The latest addition is the Chocolate Jaffa flavour which is filled with regular chocolate ganache and orange filling.

Rich Chocolate Fudge Cake

This is an extremely popular choice because of it moist texture, rich flavour and heavenly taste. Perfect for those with a sweet tooth and guaranteed to go down a treat amongst all of you guests. It can be filled with either regular chocolate ganache or the extremely tempting white chocolate ganache. Although not strictly a chocolate cake, you might like to try our new Chocolate Jaffa flavour which is in fact made on a plain madeira sponge but filled with regular chocolate ganache and orange filling.

Carrot Cake

This type of has made its way into the tiers of many wedding cakes because of its distinctive, mouthwatering taste and moist texture. It is usually filled with a cream-cheese filling and can be covered in fondant icing.

Other Flavours and Fillings

We are pleased to cater for requests when it comes to recipes for your cake. We also create recipes such as Cherry Cake, Coffee & Walnut Cake, Coconut, Butterscotch, Lemon Drizzle etc. We offer Sultana Cake, a lighter alternative to Rich Fruit, or if you prefer we can alter the recipe of our Rich Fruit Cake leaving out nuts or cherries etc to suit your taste.
